Terms & Conditions

APPLICABILITY

These Terms and Conditions apply to all agreements and activities at RUDE GIRL STUDIO. With the completion of the registration form and/or payment for a class, course or workshop, the client agrees with the Terms and Conditions of RUDE GIRL STUDIO.
RUDE GIRL STUDIO reserves the right to change and/or amend the Terms and Conditions at any time. Any such changes or amendments will be modified on our website.

For the purpose of these Terms & Conditions “The Studio” or “The Instructor” means RUDE GIRL STUDIO. “The Client” or “The Student” means customers to RUDE GIRL STUDIO, and those agreeing to these Terms & Conditions.

GENERAL

Should a client fail to comply with the Terms and Conditions, RUDE GIRL STUDIO reserves the right to refuse services to the client. The intake of alcohol or any type of drug (except for those essential for medical reasons) are not permitted within the studio, before or during any classes, workshops or other instruction provided. In this instance where medication is required for medical reasons, this should be disclosed upon registration and should be updated by the client where appropriate.

CONDUCT & INCLUSION

Rude Girl Studio has zero tolerance for exclusionary or bullying behaviour of any kind. The Staff at Rude Girl Studio reserve the right to refuse entry to or insist on the ejection of anybody who does not follow our health and safety guidelines, the directions of the instructor, or anybody who behaves in a way which is deemed discriminatory or unacceptable by way of verbal or physical action. Rude Girl Studio is committed to delivering a non-discriminatory and inclusive environment. Rude Girl Studio is an all-inclusive, equal opportunities and friendly studio, who are welcoming to clients of all backgrounds and orientations. We support inclusivity, and we welcome sex workers and trans-people. We welcome people of all sexual orientations, genders and allow students to wear whatever clothing they feel comfortable in to participate. We welcome people of all shapes, ages, and sizes. We are welcoming to disabled and neurodivergent people. We stand for diversity and will not accept any exclusionary behaviour which makes our staff or students feel unsafe, or causes significant risk of harm to any participant, particularly relating to the nine protected characteristics within the Equality Act 2010, but extending to body-shaming, slut-shaming, sex worker exclusionary or clothing-shaming behaviour or language. Any behaviour, both verbal or physical, of a racist, homophobic, transphobic, whorephobic, disablist or any other discriminatory manner will not be tolerated under any circumstances. 

PERSONAL DATA
The information provided by The Client on the registration form needs to be filled completely and truthfully. RUDE GIRL STUDIO will keep all of this information strictly confidential and will not share your details with any third party.
RUDE GIRL STUDIO uses personal data solely to inform clients about changes, class cancellations, events, promotions, and other useful information related to their participation at the studio.


LIABILITY
The Client realises that participation in our classes at RUDE GIRL STUDIO could result in possible personal injury, including, but not limited to, friction burn, bruising and muscle aching. RUDE GIRL STUDIO commits to providing safety equipment, including crash mats.  
By agreeing with the Terms and Conditions and signing our release form, the client assumes all risks related to the use of all spaces used by RUDE GIRL STUDIO.
The Client agrees to release RUDE GIRL STUDIO from responsibility, including all teachers, dancers, staff members, and facilities used by RUDE GIRL STUDIO from any cause of action, claims, or demands now and in the future.
The Client will not hold RUDE GIRL STUDIO liable for any personal injury including scrapes, bruises, cuts, sprains, fractures, broken bones, concussions, death, or any personal property damage/loss, which may occur on the premises before, during or after classes. The Studio will ensure that a first aid kit is available in case of minor emergencies.
To maintain the safety of our members, RUDE GIRL STUDIO will provide progressions and regressions for our members as part of a class but is important that our clients adhere with their own skill levels for a more efficient and safe class.

CLASSES, COURSES & WORKSHOPS
The reservation is completed when the payment of the class, course or workshop fee has been received by RUDE GIRL STUDIO. A bank transfer is required to complete the booking of any class. We run a variety of classes and will hold workshops and clinics on an adhoc basis. Pay as you go rates, memberships and bundles are available. 
In the case of a membership, all classes have to be used each consecutive week, and do not have be the same class for the duration of the 4 weeks. Classes included in bundles must be used within an 8-week period. Classes cannot be carried over and no credits will be issued for missed classes. 
A 48-hour cancellation policy applies to all drop-in classes. Please contact The Studio to cancel your booking as soon as possible so the space in the class can be taken by another member.
Clients that cancel 48 or more hours before the start of the class can transfer to another class, but no refunds will be provided. 
In the case of a “late cancellation” (when a student cancels less than 48 hours before the start of the class) the fee for the class cannot be refunded or transferred. 
Workshops are non-refundable, if you are unable to attend for any reason, please contact RUDE GIRL STUDIO via info@rudegirlstudio.com as soon as possible.
Bookings for classes, courses and workshops are personal and cannot be used by/transferred to another person.
If classes, courses, or workshops are cancelled by The Studio, due to unforeseen circumstances or if there are not enough participants, members will be contacted, and classes will be transferable to any other session of your choice. 


CLASS PARTICIPATION POLICIES

The Client agrees to arrive as early as possible to the class. If The Client arrives more than 10 minutes late, the class will be forfeited. The Client accepts that if they miss the warm up, The Instructor reserves the right to refuse their participation in the class. No refunds, credits or transfers will not be issued in these circumstances.

RUDE GIRL STUDIO reserves the right to alter the timetable. The Studio also reserves the right to change the instructor due to unforeseen circumstances.

In the event of extreme weather, RUDE GIRL STUDIO will contact students to inform them of any cancellation. Cancellations will also be posted on our social media platforms. If the class proceeds to run and The Client does not attend, the session will be forfeited. 

The Client agrees to complete the waiver upon registration before the commencement of any class. It is the responsibility of The Client to inform,The Studio of any changes to their medical status in advance of any class. 

The Client agrees not to apply any oils, moisturisers, or lotions within 24 hours of any class where the pole is incorporated. 

The Client agrees only to use pole gripping aids authorised by RUDE GIRL STUDIOS, this is limited to; “Dry Hands”, “Dancing Dust”, “Grip And Glow” and “Mega Grip Liquid Chalk”, other grips may be permitted, but The Studio reserves the right to authorise (or not authorise) the use of any other brand. The Client agrees to seek permission from The Instructor before the use of any gripping aid not specified in these Terms and Conditions.

The Client agrees that if they are ill, they will not attend The Studio and will cancel any session with as much notice as possible. The Client accepts that classes cannot be refunded or transferred due to their own illness. 

The Client agrees that any and all injuries which occur during the class, including minor injuries must be reported to The Instructor at the time of occurrence. 

The Studio will teach each individual student moves based on their previous experience. If The Client attempts a move that has not been demonstrated and taught by an Instructor, The Instructor will not be liable for any compensation should an injury or incident occur. 

The Client agrees not to ‘spot’ or teach other students whilst attending classes at RUDE GIRL STUDIO, for reasons of safety. The Client also agrees not to consent to being spotted, or helped into or out of any move, or to give instruction to any other student. 

RUDE GIRL STUDIO agrees to take all precautions to ensure the safety of everyone involved, including clients and instructors. The Client acknowledges that pole fitness can be a strenuous activity, and at times, dangerous. The Client agrees to rely on their own judgement in participating in any exercise or manoeuvres. The Client agrees that they have been informed and are aware of the potential risks to their health and freely accept that by participating they run the risk of injury, particularly if they fall from, or knock themselves on the pole. The Client agrees not to hold The Studio liable for any pre-existing injuries of medical conditions which may be exacerbated by participating.

The Client assumes all responsibility for, and of behalf of themselves, or anyone else who might claim on their behalf, waive all claims against The Studio and its instructors for any and all injuries, claims or damages that are incurred. This waiver extends to all claims of any kind, foreseen or unforeseen, known or unknown, direct, indirect or consequential losses. 

Nothing in this waiver shall exclude or limit The Studio’s liability for personal injury caused by negligence or in any way that is not permitted under applicable law.  

PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO RECORDING
Clients are aware that they may be photographed, or video recorded during classes and workshops. I acknowledge that photos or videos may be published by RUDE GIRL STUDIO and release all rights or claims to any digital materials. 
RUDE GIRL STUDIO agrees to seek verbal permission from students before photographing or video recording commences, and before such materials are published. Students are permitted to film their own material unless otherwise advised by instructors. Students also agree that they will only share their own material in a way that reflects The Studio in a positive light. 


MEDICAL CONDITIONS
If the client knows of any medical conditions they have (e.g., heart problems, bone/joint problems, skin allergies etc) that may prevent you from engaging in physical activity, the client must inform our instructors in advance in order to ensure safety. If the condition involves taking any medication (e.g., inhaler for Asthma, epinephrine for Allergies etc), The Client agrees to inform The Studio in advance of any session, and furthermore, inform The Instructor before the commencement of the session, of the medication’s whereabouts, should this be necessary in the event of an emergency.
